Researcher in XR | XR Game Designer (HUG/Unige)

The Virtual Medicine Center at University Hospitals Geneva (HUG) is seeking an XR Game Designer / Researcher to join our growing team for October 2024. With the support of our interdisciplinary team, you will drive the development and evaluation of medical XR simulations in Unity, incorporating AI, and novel display technologies. You will be part of the INDUX-R EU project, placing you at the interface of cutting-edge XR research and development in Europe. You will also be able to integrate your own research questions in the field of computational medical XR.

You will be hired as a postdoctoral researcher (PhD holders), or game designer (MSc holders), through the Unige Centre Universitaire d'Informatique (CUI) and work closely with our team at the Virtual Medicine Center, collaborators at EPFL, as well as INDUX-R partners. You will be based at the VMC oeice at the HUG in Geneva (hybrid/flexible). The role includes occasional European travel to INDUX-R meetings.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and evaluate medical XR simulations.

• Integrate AI modules and novel display technologies in collaboration with consortium partners.

• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of researchers, engineers, and clinicians.

• Contribute to the overall success of the Indux-R project by meeting project milestones and deliverables.

• Participate in European trips to attend Indux-R project meetings.

• Publish your findings and present at (inter)national conferences.
